About me
Tina combines her classical roots with electronic soundscapes, a spirit of technical experimentation, and a keen instinct for cinematic storytelling. Her music adds depth to images, brings atmospheres to life, and gives each story its own emotional voice.
Growing up in Osnabrück, Germany, she began playing the piano and flute at an early age, performed in her school orchestra, and sang in the choir. At the age of 18, she received music awards from Deutsche Bank and Sparkasse Osnabrück in recognition of her piano playing. At the same time, she discovered a fascination with synthesizers and computers and began producing her own music on her home computer as a teenager. Her distinctive musical voice grew out of this combination of classical training and technological curiosity.
After graduating from high school, she moved to the UK in 1998 to study at the renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). During her bachelor’s degree, she discovered film music as her artistic home and deepened her knowledge of Music and Sound Technology. She later completed a master’s degree in Digital Media at the University of Bremen, where she explored the emotional impact of music across different forms of media.
After spending the first years of her professional career as a composer in Berlin, Tina specialised in film scoring at the HFF “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg, completing her master’s degree in 2013.
During her studies, she composed music for award-winning films including “Combat Girls” (*Kriegerin*), directed by David Wnendt, and “Teardrop”, directed by Damian John Harper. Further projects included “Away You Go” (*Rückenwind von vorn*), directed by Philipp Eichholtz, and the Amazon series “You Are Wanted”, created by Matthias Schweighöfer.
In 2020, Tina received the German Television Award for Best Music for her score for the television series “Rampensau”. In 2022, she was nominated for the German Songwriting Award in the Audiovisual Media category.
At the heart of her work is the search for a sound that does more than accompany a story – it carries the story forward.
